My Epic Europe Trip

After years of dreaming about a grand European getaway, I finally embarked on a 17-day journey through some of the most iconic destinations in Europe. From romantic cityscapes and majestic cathedrals to breathtaking mountain peaks and charming old towns, every stop was a postcard come to life. Here's a glimpse into the adventure that took me through France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Vatican City, and Monaco.

🇫🇷 France: Bonjour Paris!

My journey began in the City of Light — Paris. The moment I stepped onto Champs-Élysées, I felt the heartbeat of Paris pulsing through its grand boulevards. I marveled at the elegance of the Eiffel Tower, soaked in the art and history at the Louvre Museum, and wandered through the opulent halls of Versailles Palace. Every moment felt like stepping into a classic film.

🇧🇪 Belgium: A Taste of Brussels

Next stop was Brussels, where history and indulgence go hand in hand. I stood in awe before the futuristic Atomium Monument, strolled through the ornate Grand Place, and couldn’t help but smile at the quirky Manneken Pis Statue. Of course, no visit is complete without tasting the best of Gourmandise Belgian Delights — pure heaven for a sweet tooth like mine.

🇳🇱 The Netherlands: Charming Canals and Windmills

In Amsterdam, the blend of old-world charm and modern life was mesmerizing. Cruising along the Amsterdam Canaloffered a unique perspective of the city’s architecture. One of the highlights was visiting Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage site where rows of traditional windmills stood proudly against the Dutch sky.

🇩🇪 Germany: History and Grandeur

Germany welcomed me with its rich architectural beauty and history. I visited the awe-inspiring Gothic Cathedral in Cologne, wandered through Trier Cathedral and the ancient Porta Nigra, and took in the cosmopolitan vibes of Frankfurt. Every city told a story through its preserved buildings and vibrant streets.

🇱🇺 Luxembourg: A Small Country with Big Charm

In Luxembourg, I explored the picturesque Place de la Constitution and admired the views from Pont Adolphe, a stunning stone arch bridge. Though small in size, Luxembourg offered grand views and peaceful strolls that left a lasting impression.

🇨🇭 Switzerland: A Snowy Dream

Switzerland was nothing short of magical. In Zurich and Lucerne, I was enchanted by the medieval charm of the Chapel Bridge and Water Tower, and touched by the solemn Lion Monument. The highlight? Ascending Mt. Titlis, where snow-capped peaks and glacial beauty made me feel like I was on top of the world.

🇮🇹 Italy: Timeless Beauty

Italy was a whirlwind of culture, art, and food. In Rome, I stood in the shadows of the mighty Colosseum and explored ancient ruins that echoed the glory of the Roman Empire. At Vatican City, I visited St. Peter’s Basilica, a place that radiates peace and spiritual power.

Venice was a dream — the elegant San Marco Square, Basilica di San Marco, and a visit to a Murano glassblowerwere simply unforgettable.

Florence brought the Renaissance to life with the Ponte Vecchio, the magnificent Duomo, and rich art around every corner. A side trip to Pisa gave me the iconic photo with the Leaning Tower, as well as time to admire the Pisa Cathedral and Baptistery.

🇲🇨 Monaco: Glamour by the Sea

My journey wouldn’t be complete without a touch of royalty. In Monaco, I visited the majestic Prince's Palace, marveled at the sea life in the Oceanographic Museum, and admired the serene beauty of St. Nicholas Cathedral. It felt like stepping into a glamorous fairy tale.

🇫🇷 Back to France: Fragrance & Elegance in Grasse

Before wrapping up, I stopped in Grasse, the perfume capital of the world. The Fragonard Museum was a sensory delight — from learning about perfume-making to enjoying the floral scents that filled the air.

Seventeen days, nine countries, and a thousand memories later, I returned home with a heart full of gratitude and a suitcase full of stories. Every city, every landmark, and every bite of local delicacy added a new layer to this unforgettable journey.
