What Keeps Me Entertained During The Pandemic

by - September 10, 2021

I am an outgoing person and I can’t emphasize enough how I missed traveling. I get the chance to drive around the city during weekends or whenever I have to buy something at the grocery but most of the time I’m just home.

Working from home and doing household chores can be tiring. Doing this routine can be draining and I feel I need to have breaks in between so I won't lose interest in doing these things. I have been looking for things I can do to lessen my boredom and to break the same cycle of my daily life.

Until I started playing games either in laptop or my mobile. To be honest, I am not a fan of complicated games. I like simple games that are fun and easy to play. I remember when I was in elementary, I used to play games on my personal computer. Back then, the internet is not yet widely used and social media is non-existent. My young self used to enjoy playing Solitaire.

In this high-tech world that we have, I’m glad to have found the game that has been part of my childhood days. Solitaire.org offers different games that are easy to play, comes with simple but decent graphics, and are fun enough to keep you glued for hours.

There are different card games to choose from but my favorite is the classic Solitaire game where it automatically deals your cards to the tableau. The game is timed and the timer will start after you move your first card. The gameplay stats include win-loss ratio. You can easily get a new deal by clicking the new button without affecting your stats.

Solitaire.org offers a variety of games in different categories like Card Games, Hidden Object Games, Mahjong Solitaire Tile Games, Match 3 Games, and other fun games.

My personal favorite includes Candy House, a colorful 50-level matching game that is so addictive! To play the game, you simply have to swap 2 items to match 3 or more of the same items in a vertical column or horizontal row. Make longer matches to earn power tiles which can destroy locked pieces, destroy the entire lines, destroy a column and a row or remove all pieces for a specific colored tile.

Another personal favorite is Cookie Monster. Yes, this is the same cute, Blue monster from the famous children's show, Sesame Street. This is inspired by a classic arcade game PacMan, with Cookie Monster running to eat pellets. Eating power pellets easily turns the ghosts into delicious cookies.

I also enjoyed playing Garden Secretes Hidden Object. This is a 10-level hidden object game where clues are given at the bottom of the screen on what objects to look for. Be careful not to just click on anything because every wrong attempt will cause 5 seconds from your time.

Overall experience with Solitaire.org is excellent and I wish I have discovered them sooner. It's great to have these games especially now that it's not yet safe to go out. At least we have something fun to do at home. This is also a good way to bond with your kids or siblings. There are hundreds of games at Solitaire.org and I'm sure there would be games that would suit your preference. Check them out and start playing for free!
