From cultural spots and scenic viewpoints to underground rivers and island-hopping, here’s a full look at my 3-day Puerto Princesa itinerary and the unforgettable moments that came with it.

Day 1 – Puerto Princesa City Tour: Culture, Crafts, and Scenic Views
I kicked off my trip with a relaxing yet exciting Puerto Princesa City Tour, the best way to get to know the city’s culture and everyday life.

Binuatan Creations – A Colorful Start
My first stop was Binuatan Creations, where local artisans hand-weave vibrant textiles using traditional looms. Watching them transform colorful threads into beautiful fabrics was so inspiring — a reminder of the rich craftsmanship Palawan keeps alive.

Butterfly Garden & Tribal Village
Next, I visited the Butterfly Farm, a peaceful garden filled with fluttering butterflies, peacocks, and even herbs and spices. It felt like walking into a tiny sanctuary where nature thrives beautifully.
Historic Landmarks: Cathedral, Plaza Cuartel & Baywalk

The tour continued with a visit to:

• Immaculate Conception Cathedral – calm, historic, and photogenic

• Plaza Cuartel – a site with deep historical significance

• Baywalk Park – the perfect spot for a breezy stroll by the water

Mitra’s Ranch – A Scenic Hillside Escape
One of my favorite parts of the city tour was Mitra’s Ranch, located atop a hill overlooking the city and Honda Bay. With green open spaces and panoramic views, it was the perfect place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the wind.

Baker’s Hill – The Sweetest Stop
No city tour is complete without visiting Baker’s Hill! The entire area smelled like freshly baked pastries, and their famous hopia did NOT disappoint. My top favorites?
Ube and Pastillas — soft, sweet, and truly addicting. 

Day 2 – Underground River Tour: A Natural Wonder of the World
My second day in Palawan was a dream come true — exploring the world-famous Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

Cruising through the Underground River felt surreal. The limestone formations, cathedral-like chambers, and the quiet echoes inside the cave made the whole experience magical. It’s one of those moments that make you pause and appreciate how incredible our planet truly is.
This tour is an absolute must for anyone visiting Puerto Princesa.

Day 3 – Honda Bay Island Hopping: Sun, Sea & Pure Fun
For my last day, I saved the best for last — a full day of Honda Bay island hopping, the perfect ending to a tropical getaway.

Pambato Reef – A Snorkeler’s Paradise
First stop: Pambato Reef, where I swam with colorful fish and enjoyed the vibrant underwater scenery. An amazing spot if you love snorkeling and marine life.

Luli Island – The “Appearing & Disappearing” Sandbar
Next was Luli (Lulubog Lilitaw) Island, famous for showing and sinking with the tides. The shallow, crystal-clear water makes it perfect for stunning photos — and trust me, the kuya photographers here take amazing, creative shots! (Don’t forget to tip them!)

Cowrie Island – The Perfect Last Stop
Finally, we headed to Cowrie Island, my favorite part of the tour. With soft white sand, coconut trees, good music, and refreshing buko juice, it was the ideal place to unwind, swim, and just appreciate the beauty of Honda Bay.

My Puerto Princesa 3-day trip was a beautiful blend of culture, adventure, and relaxation. From weaving studios and butterfly gardens to limestone caves and white-sand islands, every day offered something unforgettable.

“For a fleeting instant, the world understood what my heart has been trying to say,” Conlin shared regarding his Round One success. “That cup represented people, passion, and the power of working together. It was a clear win for every dreamer who has ever believed that coffee could build bridges instead of walls.”

The Better Vessel achieves this by gently and selectively removing the bitterness and harshness of crema, allowing for a longer, cleaner, and sweeter shot extraction.

“The discoveries we made were never meant to stay on a stage; they were meant to ripple outward,” Conlin states. “The Better Vessel is a small step forward with a big purpose: to bring more people into the world of espresso by making it less intimidating and more inclusive.”

For the professional coffee industry, the tool promises to simplify the dialling-in process, drastically reducing waste and improving consistency. More importantly, this innovation is positioned to propel Philippine coffee culture globally by setting a new, high standard for quality espresso that is both technically flawless and universally appealing.

Cebuana Lhuillier has officially named Zacarias Mansing Jr., a passionate literacy and disability inclusion advocate, as the 2025 Happiest Pinoy. His remarkable journey of transforming personal adversity into a nationwide mission for children’s literacy resonated deeply across the country. Selected from more than 500,000 entries, his win marks one of the most extraordinary achievements in the history of Cebuana Lhuillier’s pioneering advocacy.

The awarding ceremony, held last December 2 at Dusit Thani Manila, highlighted the depth and diversity of this year’s competition. Zacarias first emerged as one of the ten national category winners before advancing to the final round, where he stood alongside inspiring finalists representing youth and senior citizens, entrepreneurs, persons with disabilities, OFWs, members of the workforce, the LGBTQ+ community, creatives, indigenous peoples, and Cebuana Lhuillier clients.

One of the most unforgettable stops of my trip was seeing the life-size RX-93ff ν (Nu) Gundam at Lalaport Fukuoka. This massive, 24.8-meter-tall mobile suit is an absolute bucket-list attraction for Gundam fans and anime lovers.

The statue moves, lights up, and features scheduled shows throughout the day, making it one of the top attractions in Fukuoka City. The surrounding area also features themed shops, cafés, and exclusive merchandise that can only be found in Fukuoka. Whether you’re into anime or simply love impressive landmarks, the Gundam Statue Fukuoka is a sight you cannot miss.

6. Kushida Shrine
Kushida Shrine is one of Fukuoka’s most cherished cultural landmarks. Known as the guardian shrine of Hakata, it’s famous for the Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival held every July. Visitors can admire the massive festival floats on display, stroll through serene temple grounds, and enjoy a glimpse of ancient traditions still alive today. Fukuoka Tower is an iconic 234-meter skyscraper overlooking Momochi Seaside Park. Head up to the observation deck for stunning views of the city, Hakata Bay, and the coastline — especially magical during sunset or at night when the skyline lights up. The tower also features seasonal light displays, making it a great photo spot.

9 . Ohori Park
If you’re looking for a peaceful break from sightseeing, Ohori Park is perfect. This spacious park surrounds a large pond and offers scenic walking paths, charming bridges, boat rentals, and a beautiful Japanese garden. It’s a favorite spot among locals for morning jogs, picnics, and slow afternoon strolls.

Shiraito Falls — Nature’s Cooling Escape
My first stop was Shiraito Falls, one of Itoshima’s most picturesque locations. Surrounded by lush greenery, the waterfall gave off fresh, cooling mist that instantly felt refreshing. The gentle sound of flowing water and the crisp mountain air made it the perfect way to start the day.

If you’re a fan of nature walks, this place is a dream. There are small bridges, trails, and a viewing deck where you can take beautiful photos. It’s peaceful, serene, and a great break from the city’s busy energy.

Raizan Sennyoji Daihioin Temple — A Spiritual Retreat
Next, I visited the historic Raizan Sennyoji Daihioin Temple, a beautifully preserved temple nestled in the mountains. The temple grounds have this calming, sacred aura, and the architecture reflects hundreds of years of Japanese history.

One of the highlights is the massive 1,000-year-old maple tree, which changes colors dramatically during autumn. Walking around the complex felt like stepping back in time — peaceful, quiet, and deeply spiritual. A must-visit for anyone who loves culture and heritage.

Sakurai Futamigaura — The Iconic Sunset Spot
After exploring the mountains, I headed to the coast to visit Sakurai Futamigaura, one of Itoshima’s most photographed locations. The sight of the Married Couple Rocks (Meoto Iwa) connected by a sacred rope, with the torii gate framing the sea, is truly magical.

Nagasaki Day Trip – History, Culture & Scenic Beauty
Nagasaki is a city filled with contrasts — peaceful seaside views blending with deep historical scars. During my visit, I explored two of its most meaningful spots: Dejima Wharf and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. Each place offered a completely different experience, yet both left a lasting impression.

Every visit to The Manila Hotel feels like stepping back in time—a place filled with history, elegance, and timeless charm. But aside from its storied halls and luxurious setting, one of the hotel’s most beloved gems is its iconic buffet restaurant, Café Ilang-Ilang.

I finally had the chance to indulge in its world-famous spread, and let me tell you: it wasn’t just dinner—it was a global culinary journey right in the heart of Manila.

A Feast from Around the World
As soon as I walked into Café Ilang-Ilang, I could feel the lively atmosphere. Chefs were busy at live stations, the smell of fresh food filled the room, and diners looked just as eager as I was to begin eating. I got there early, and they let us in around 11:15AM, though the buffet didn’t start until 11:30AM.
What I love about this buffet is that it’s more than a spread—it’s an experience. Each section highlights a different cuisine, making you feel like you’re traveling the world with every plate.

Italian Section
My food adventure here began with fresh pasta prepared right before my eyes. There are plenty of pizza flavors, plus salads and cold cuts to try as well.

Japanese Section
This section stood out to me because there were so many dishes to choose from. The station offered sushi, maki, and tempura. I couldn’t resist the tuna and salmon sashimi—they were so fresh they seemed to melt in my mouth. My favorite was the Salmon Aburi. I enjoyed it so much that I went back for seconds and even thirds. It was lightly torched, with a smoky flavor on the outside and a buttery texture inside. It really melts in your mouth. They also serve Miso soup and ramen as starters.

Filipino Section
Of course, I couldn’t miss our very own Filipino flavors. This was one of my favorites because it reminded me of home. The crispy lechon was the star—skin so crunchy you could hear it crackle, with meat that was soft and flavorful. Alongside it were regional favorites and Filipino comfort food dishes like dinuguan and adobong pato sa gata, each one prepared with authenticity and pride. This section really showcased the richness of our culinary heritage.

Seafood Station
This area was overflowing with the day’s freshest haul—crabs, prawns, and mussels—served with elegance and cooked flawlessly. The butter preparation brought out the prawns’ natural sweetness, added a silky richness to the mussels, and made the crabs taste even more luxurious. A true feast for any seafood enthusiast.

Inclusive Dining for All
What stood out even more was Café Ilang-Ilang’s inclusivity in accommodating diverse diets and lifestyles.

For Muslim diners, a dedicated Halal section is thoughtfully prepared to ensure dietary requirements are met, allowing everyone to enjoy their meal with peace of mind.

For those who are health-conscious or following a plant-based lifestyle, the Vegan station is a highlight worth checking out. Their Hummus is a standout—silky, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. It was a pleasant surprise to see such variety, proving that the buffet isn’t only about indulgence but also about ensuring every guest feels included.

Sweet Temptations
What makes Café Ilang-Ilang truly remarkable goes beyond its wide selection of food—it’s the way the entire dining experience is thoughtfully curated. Each station feels like a world of its own, every dish is prepared with care, and every guest can find something made just for them.
Just when I thought I couldn’t take another bite, the dessert spread pulled me right back in—and honestly, it was worth saving room for.
